40 years ago i was shocked by the way gay men called each other faggot & queer, and felt they had a right to use the women’s loos. Now that politicians & police back them they feel invincible.

“Queer” is used by heterosexuals to identify into a culture and oppression that isn’t theirs. It’s the equivalent of white people calling themselves “niggers”.

@CCGSD_CCDGS @Alysha4Zone2 ”Queer” is a term of abuse used to oppress same sex attracted people. That it has been adopted by a largely heterosexual movement is akin to a predominantly white political movement calling themselves “niggers”. Both words are highly offensive.
