@Julia__Dixon__ Almost all European children are born with very dark (almost black) hair. This is why Sleeping Beauty has black hair (she is the new born child). Then they lose this hair and get their blonde hair, that will turn darker with time.
Dark blonde hair is perfectly blonde too.

All the Roman & Greek sources describe the "barbarian" (Gallic, Germanic, Scythian, Dacian, etc.) peoples of Europe as Nordic.
